MADISON, WI, March 4, 2025Run Madtown is offering a great way for companies to promote wellness, foster team spirit, and engage with the Madison community during the Run Madtown Corporate Challenge presented by the Wellness Council of Wisconsin, taking place Saturday and Sunday, May 24–25, 2025. The Run Madtown Corporate Challenge, presented by the Wellness Council of Wisconsin, invites businesses to rally team members to participate in a spirited outdoor event that emphasizes health, camaraderie and flamingo-themed fun! No racing experience required – employees of all fitness levels are welcome to run, jog, walk, or volunteer across the three event distances: 5K, 10K and half-marathon. Whether frequent runners or first-time participants, everyone is welcome.

The Wellness Council of Wisconsin has partnered with the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce to promote employee wellbeing, foster a sense of belonging and inclusion, and improving the holistic wellbeing of employees across Wisconsin. With like-minded goals, Run Madtown is a proud member of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber and excited to host an event where values of inclusion, belonging and acceptance are celebrated.

Participants can choose from three event distances:

       Twilight 5K on Saturday, May 24 at 7pm.

       10K or Half Marathon on Sunday, May 25 at 7am.

All races will start and finish at the University of Wisconsin Campus (Library Mall), with scenic routes showcasing iconic Madison landmarks, including Lake Mendota, the Capitol Building, Camp Randall Stadium, and The University of Wisconsin Arboretum.

Following each day’s events, participants, their friends and families, sponsors, charities, and community partners enjoy the post-race Tailgate celebration. This festive gathering will feature food, entertainment, and activities, offering a perfect way to relax and celebrate together.

Corporate Challenge Rules:

Each team must include at least one male, one female, and one participant aged 35+ (one person may satisfy two of these criteria).

       Both part-time and full-time employees are eligible (contracted employees are not eligible).

       Each team must have a minimum of three participants per event distance for scoring.

       Businesses must have at least one office/location in Wisconsin.

       Teams must include a minimum of 25 participants (athletes and volunteers combined) to qualify for a designated space at the post-race Tailgate.

Compete for Corporate Challenge Awards:

       Fast Flamingos – Awarded to the team with the fastest combined time.

       Largest Flock – Presented to the team with the most participants.

       Myles Spirit – Recognizing the best cheer station.

       Pretty in Pink – Honoring the best costumes.

       Birds of a Feather, We Flock Together – Celebrating the team with the most volunteers.
