Data Insight Webinar No. 3: Registration Patterns for Local vs. Out-of-Town Runners
Running USA and imATHLETE announce third webinar in a year-long series, with valuable data around runners’ spending habits and how they can inform your marketing decisions
(Tuesday, August 21) – Registration is now open for the third webinar in the Running USA and imATHLETE Data Insight Series, and attendee feedback at the last two sessions is an indicator that these webinars are not to be missed.
“We’ve received great feedback on these webinars from endurance event decision makers who are finding the data-driven takeaways especially useful for their marketing plans,” said Running USA CEO Rich Harshbarger. “Past presentations are available to Running USA members on our recently updated website and we encourage everyone to sign up for the third webinar next month.”
The data presented by imATHLETE CEO Jeff Matlow will be especially useful for events trying to better understand runner spending habits, optimize their marketing and advertising budgets and better target potential out-of-town runners. This webinar will cover how distance from the event influences when participants will register.
According to Matlow, the presentation will answer questions like:
*When are people most likely to register based on how far they are from the event location?
*Do travelers register earlier or later?
*How does registration differ based on the distance of the event AND the travel time?
*When are the best times to focus on local advertising?
" Assuming you want to make more money, you should join this webinar,” said Matlow. “Our previous webinars examined the data around retention and how far participants will travel to an event. We are now going to take those learnings and apply it to the data around registration decisions.”
Set for Thursday, Sept. 27 at 11am PST, you can register for the webinar here.
The Data Insight Series webinars focus on key data insights about endurance athletes and how the information can be utilized to solve business challenges and drive growth. The first webinar focused on runner retention rates and ways to improve them to drive event growth. The second webinar focused on how far runners will travel to participate in different distances of events.
