Record Attendance for Kickoff of 2nd Running USA Accelerator Series Presented by Race Roster

Event travels to Indianapolis and Cincinnati for first two stops, attendees report great takeaways from marketing and sponsorship content, next up on the #RUSARoadTrip is Nashville on Friday, Aug. 10

CINCINNATI and INDIANAPOLIS (July 17, 2018) – Race directors gained key industry insights and practical tools to better their marketing and sponsorship efforts during the first two stops of the 2018 Running USA Accelerator Series, presented by Race Roster.

Both locations attracted nearly sold-out groups of endurance professionals eager to improve their businesses with tips from presenters who know the industry inside and out. Content from sponsorship and social media expert Shan Riggs, marketing leader Andy Reilly, and data and CRM guru Lennie Kwan made for useful takeaways that could be put into action immediately.

Shanna Ward, Senior Event Manager and Race Director for the Kentucky Derby Festival, attended the Indianapolis event. She shared this feedback:

“Not only do we have the opportunity to network with our peers in the industry, but learn more about marketing trends and the technology that is available in the industry. All of today’s speakers were wonderful and I just really had a great experience. I would recommend it for anybody looking for more opportunity to get more tools in the industry,” Ward said.

“We couldn’t have been more pleased with the turnout and engagement we had during these first two stops of the second ever Accelerator Series,” said Rich Harshbarger, CEO of Running USA, who attended both events. “It’s inspiring to get in a room with people who are really passionate about the running industry and help troubleshoot their business challenges.”

“The Accelerator Series is an opportunity to create dialogue, and accelerate the learning curve we are all on. From the feedback we’ve already received, that’s exactly what's happening. Kudos to all attendees who contributed to the excellent content that was shared and for taking time to improve your event, and in turn our industry!” added Alex Vander Hoeven, CEO of Race Roster, the presenting sponsor.

The next stop in the Accelerator Series will be Nashville, Tenn. on Friday, Aug. 10. The Nashville event will be held at The Listening Room Café and will feature Christine Bowen, Vice President of Programming, Operations and Partnerships for Running USA; Troy Schooley, Senior Vice President of Sponsorship and Sales at P3R in Pittsburgh; Andy Reilly, Founder of Eventgrow in Southern California; and Lennie Kwan, VP Customer Experience & CRM at Race Roster.

With many of our attendees planning to spend a few days in Nashville after Friday’s session, we are excited to be the leadoff event for a great weekend. Learn more about the Nashville Accelerator Series and get registered here.
