Where the endurance community connects
We’re looking for a Community Manager (CM) to join our team and help oversee and strategically grow our ambassador program, the BibRave Pros, along with our other brand and race partner ambassador programs.
We’re a team of passionate professionals looking for someone who is highly driven, very organized, deeply empathetic but also not easily rattled, and able to connect and work with large groups of adult volunteer ambassadors and influencers. We need high-level and relentless problem solvers who are motivated by finding solutions, rather than stymied by challenges.
Competitive applicants will have a strong background in community management, social media, large group management and communication experience, and proven success growing and managing communities. Understanding large-scale group dynamics is extremely important.
Must be a proven leader and self-starter - someone with high energy who can inspire, motivate, and delegate when needed. Intimate knowledge of the running/racing/multisport landscape is critical, as is the ability to take initiative in proposing new ideas and seeing them through to fruition.
Last, but not least, competitive applicants will be smart. “Smart” can mean a lot of things, but mainly we mean that you’ll exercise sound judgement, approach and solve problems thoughtfully and analytically, be able to “read your audience” and adjust written and spoken communications accordingly.
Work with Community Coordinator to manage and motivate the BibRave Pros on a daily basis - coordinate communication from the BibRave team to our ambassadors. Make the BibRave Pro program the most coveted ambassador program around!
-Expand BibRave brand loyalty and awareness among various runner-focused communities while strengthening BibRave Pros dedication to and enthusiasm for the BibRave brand
-Manage other white-label ambassador programs and/or communities on a daily basis, coordinating communication from the clients through the BibRave team, and ultimately to the ambassadors
-Manage projects and campaigns that involve complex client expectations and detailed social media requirements for product reviews, race reviews, and race marketing by dozens of ambassadors on various platforms at once
-Actively grow while maintaining quality (content and reach) and accountability of BibRave ambassador programs (BibRave Pro or White Label)
-Utilize social listening/monitoring tools to generate insights and summarize findings to create client-facing deliverables
-Extremely high level of social intelligence - knowing how to communicate to a wide variety of different personalities with different wants, motivations, and priorities.
-Wide variety of social media expertise. This includes fluency across multiple networks, understanding each platforms’ functionality, voice, purpose, etc.
-Ability to write creatively and in a business setting. Creative writing must demonstrate personality and savvy while maintaining correct intent, accurate grammar
-Business writing means clearly communicating across all platforms - email, Slack, Grin, presentations, in-person, video conference, and the good ol’ telephone.
-Understanding large group dynamics - being able to motivate with clear direction AND deliver bad news and constructive feedback, all while maintaining high standards and high morale
-The ability to read and reference this bullet point in your application or when first referencing this posting
-Organization, accountability, and attention to detail (again, not just saying this). CM will need to coordinate multiple projects involving hundreds of ambassadors, products, and several clients simultaneously - all while adhering to very strict timelines. We’re talking air traffic control-level shit here =D
-Ability to lead and take initiative - identifying problems (or opportunities), creating solutions/plans, sharing and presenting said plan to a team, task and/or project delegation to team members, overcoming obstacles, and executing to completion
-Self-motivated – can set and meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work with minimal direction. Ability to communicate proactively throughout the organization and community
-2-4 years of experience building and overseeing a large ambassador/influencer group
-Passionate about endurance sports, new social trends, and growing a business
-The ability to handle stressful situations and challenging personalities with equanimity
-Ability to travel and work flexible hours as needed, occasionally attending industry conferences or leading in-person recruiting efforts (primarily via local running clubs, meet-ups)
-Flexibility of hours, location, and the freedom to work from home and/or remotely
-Experience in a rapidly growing industry (running/endurance) and a highly sought-after skill set (social media/digital strategy and community building/influencer marketing)
-Highly engaged professional development from BibRave leadership
