Olympic Marathon Gold Medalist and Bolder Boulder TV Commentator Frank Shorter is looking forward to another great race, "We in Boulder are very lucky that some of the best distance runners in the United States live and train here. The Bolder Boulder course lends itself to the home course advantage, but we should also remember that is word is out and the other nations will also be making their best efforts to send their best teams. Both pride and money are on the line here and the running world is now watching."

Bolder Boulder Professional Athlete Coordinator Rich Castro commented on the Men's Team returning, "I think we have a very solid USA Men's squad returning. Led by last year's runner-up Alan Culpepper, this group is keenly aware of the history and impact this event has made on regional and national scene. All three members have strong local ties, which I believe will serve them well as they try and match the success U.S. teams have had in the last two years."
